I’m Kitty.
I’m a writer and cat lady living in the north Georgia mountains. I have shared some thoughts on some things at Ministry Matters and am a featured essayist in Eat Pray Love Made Me Do It: Life Journeys Inspired by the Bestselling Memoir. In 2025, I put my research nerd on display with the publication of Images of America: John C. Campbell Folk School.
I received a Master of Theological Studies from Vanderbilt Divinity School and have served as a hospital chaplain, a legal advocate for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, a library lady, and a sandwich artist. I currently serve as the Director of Annual Giving at Young Harris College.
Life can be hard and feelings can be messy so I spend a lot of time thinking about the ways we do (and don’t) tell our truth. It’s a privilege.
Welcome.
